PROFESSOR SABILLON HARNESSING PEDAGOGICAL ABILITIES FOR TELEVISION

Dr. Sabillon first taught at a university-level institution in the 1980s at the National University of Honduras, where he completed three undergraduate degrees. He always liked teaching and after finishing a doctorate and two post-doctorates in Europe, he lectured economics and finance at the Geneva Business Institute, a university-level institute in Switzerland, specializing in business and computing.

Since the 1980s, he excelled in explaining complicated economic matters in simple ways to first-year students, who had no previous economic knowledge. At the Geneva Business Institute in Switzerland, he redoubled his pedagogical and didactical efforts because more than 80% of the students came from the People´s Republic of China and had a low knowledge of English, which was the language used at that academic institution. On top of that, they were first-year students with no knowledge of economics or any other subject.

That accumulated experience in the academic world has allowed Dr. Sabillon to harness strong pedagogical abilities for television, which has enabled him to explain complicated subjects to a Honduran population that has a very low educational level.

Dr. Sabillon always liked teaching, but he likes even more to explain the intricate factors that cause the events making everyday news to an entire population. It is actually the same, with the basic difference that the audience in television is much larger.
